How It Works
Lesson Times:
Monday - Friday
4-7pm Mountain Time Zone
Google Classroom
We'll meet once per week for 30 minutes over Google Meets through your very own personalized Google Classroom.
Equipment
Students will need their instrument and a music stand. Recommendations (and links!) will be provided.
Classes will use easy to understand worksheets, sheet music and exercises, which will be determined by the interest and goals of the students & parents.

Curriculum
Rhythms, Note reading, Technique! These will mostly be foundational classes (although there will be intermediate classes as well).
We will focus heavily on rhythms; reading, counting, understanding and playing them.
We will cover proper technique, learn essential musical concepts in a fun and step by step method.

Hey there! Michael Smith here.
Music isn’t just a passion for me; it’s a way of life. With over 20 years of playing and more than a decade as a certified K-12 educator, I've mastered both the art and the science of teaching music.
I've earned two degrees: a Bachelor's in Violin Performance from San Diego State University and a Master's in Music Education from Arizona State University. My mission? To give violinists a way to freely play their instrument, so that you are confident and playing at your highest level possible.
I love teaching because I get to help students unlock and realize their musical potential. I've seen students struggle for years and waste their time needlessly. Don't waste your time.
